Hi, I’m Eric.

I’m a filmmaker, storyteller, cinematographer, and founder of New Branch Films. I help organizations create video with clarity, care, and purpose so people can understand the story behind their work.

I believe good stories create connection.

I started New Branch Films because I believe every organization has a story worth hearing. The right video can help people move beyond facts and information into something more human. It can help them see the value of your organization, understand the purpose behind your work, and feel invited to take the next step.

To me, video should not just promote what you do. It should help people understand why it matters.

I’ve spent more than a decade helping people tell those stories.

I founded New Branch Films in 2014 and have spent the last decade creating videos for businesses, nonprofits, agencies, schools, public-facing campaigns, and creative teams.

Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work with organizations and brands including Nike, Facebook, Medline, ABC Supply, Global Leadership Network, and Autism Speaks, along with many local businesses, nonprofits, and creative teams.

My work has included story development, interviews, filming, lighting, directing, editing, post-production, production planning, and creative strategy. I love being involved in the process from the early idea all the way through the final piece.

A big part of my work is helping people feel comfortable enough to be honest.

I have interviewed hundreds of people over the years, and I care deeply about creating a safe, calm environment for people on camera. The best stories usually do not come from forcing perfect answers. They come from listening well, asking thoughtful questions, and giving people enough space to be real.

That approach shapes the way I direct interviews, guide clients, and build story-driven videos.

The process matters as much as the final video.

A beautiful image is important, but beauty alone is not enough. Before the camera comes out, I want to understand the goal of the video, the audience it needs to reach, and the story that will help people care.

From there, every creative decision should support the message. That is the heart of New Branch Films: strategy, story, and production working together.

Outside of filmmaking, I’m a husband, father, musician, daily meditator, and lifelong learner.

Meditation and mindfulness have become a meaningful part of my life and creative process. They help me slow down, listen more deeply, and stay centered even when the work is complex or the pressure is high.

I try to bring that same grounded presence into my projects. My hope is that clients feel supported, heard, and confident throughout the process.
